Since opening in the early 90's with just 27 Gary Player-designed holes, Fancourt’s Outeniqua and Montagu golf courses have matured and developed into two of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts in the country. A round on either is a special experience, sculpted and finished as they are, with rare attention to detail and designed with the coastal George winds in mind.
In addition, Fancourt has an exceptional golf academy that houses a TaylorMade Fitment Centre and state-of-the-art teaching facilities, backed up by the expertise of PGA professionals. To keep golfers looking the part, there are two well-stocked pro shops, offering a wide variety of clothing, accessories and hardware.

The Fancourt Golf academy is a world-class facility manned by full-time teaching professionals to offer expert advice and tuition. Facilities including practice greens, chipping greens, bunker facilities, a 4 hole course and a driving range with open air and undercover practice bays. The Fancourt Golf Academy also includes a state of the art Taylormade Fitment Centre for custom club fitting and tuition. Custom fitting in the broadest sense is building a club designed to match your individual swing characteristics so that you hit the ball longer and straighter with better control.
Previously available only to PGA Tour professionals, the two-hour custom fitting experience is conducted in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and includes driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putter. It is beneficial to men, women, and junior golfers of all ages and skill levels.
The fitting process involves placing the special reflectors on your body in order capture a number of swings with the driver, iron and putter to gain a true representation of your swing dynamics and impact position. These swings are analyzed by a custom fit specialist and PGA qualified professional, which takes approximately 1 hour. Once this has been completed and understood, you will be escorted out on to our grass range to validate the club recommendations for the remainder of the two-hour session.
